- Q: What is DHA?
A: DHA is the ingredient present in
all self-tanners that affects the color of skin. It reacts with amino
acids found in the top layers of skin to create a shade of brown; the
effect begins to appear within two to six hours after application and
it can build color depth with every reapplication.
- Q: What is Erythrulose?
A: Erythrulose is a natural sugar and a unique DHA enhancer that improves sunless tanning results.
- Q: I always have trouble sunless tanning my hands & feet, they always turn out orange and rusty, what do I do?
A: Use a small dollop of Ultimate Tan
Refreshment on the tops of your hands and feet instead of a full
strength sunless tanner. This will create a natural color that is pure
perfection!
- Q: How many layers of Moroccan Mineral can I apply at a time?
A: Medium to dark skin tones can apply
1-2 thin layers in order to achieve an extra deep level of darkness. We
recommend that fair and extra-light skin types refrain from applying
more than 1 thin layer of Moroccan Mineral Dark Self-Tanning Lotion at
a time.
- Q: What does Moroccan Mineral smell like?
A: Moroccan Mineral has a clean, light
tropical citrus scent that was specifically formulated to drastically
reduce DHA development odor.
- Q: Will my Moroccan Mineral tan wash off when I shower?
A: NO! The cosmetic color guide will
wash off so dont be alarmed. But underneath, your "real sunless tan"
will be revealed. DHA and Erythrulose create a deep brown tanned
appearance on the skin. The color guide does not play a part in the
sunless tanning development process and is supposed to be washed off in
the shower. Also, keep in mind that your sunless tan will continue to
deepen in color for up to 24 hours after your wash off the color guide.
DHA color is temporary, so your sunless color will gradually fade just
like a sun tan.
- Q: What should I avoid when enjoying any sunless tan?

Body Care Products to Avoid:
Loofahs, loofah gloves, shell or salt scrubs.
Body moisturizers or shower gels that contain petroleum or mineral oil bases.
Soaking in salt water (ocean), chlorine (hot tubs and pools) or warm baths can rapidly exfoliate your tan.
Do not rub your skin with a towel after bathing pat dry only.
- Q: Should I exfoliate with Desert Mineral Detox Body Scrub while I have a sunless tan?
A: Lightly exfoliating with Desert

tone without stripping your color. Properly caring for your sunless tan

A: It is best to let your spray tan
completely fade before applying Moroccan Mineral Dark Self-Tanner.
Applying multiple layers of DHA to the skin often results in uneven
fading and/or unnatural color.
- Q: Will swimming fade my tan?
A: Your sunless tan may slightly fade
after soaking or swimming in warm or cool water. If you typically enjoy
hours of aquatic play, long hot showers, or soaking in baths, you may
want to apply Ultimate Tan Refreshment in the evenings to revive your
tans depth and color by morning.
- Q: Do I have to wear gloves when I apply Moroccan Mineral?
A: YES! Use appropriate applicator
gloves when applying the product. Wearing gloves will prevent your
palms and fingernails from tanning/staining. Snug fitting loves help
ensure application ease and superior blending ability for professional
tanning results with every application. If you have latex allergies,
choose Nitrile or vinyl gloves.
- Q: What should I tan in?
A: The choice is yours, but most
prefer to do it in the nude. You may also choose to apply Moroccan
Mineral Dark Self-Tanning Lotion while wearing an old, dark bathing
suit.
